Cultivating Sight Singing Proficiency in Triple Threat Performers
Lyndall Dawson (VCA, University of Melbourne) presents her paper which focuses on developing an efficient methodology to enhance relative pitch proficiency among students who possess limited or no prior training in music theory.
Lyndall will critically interrogate the justification for maintaining sight singing as a core component of Music Theatre training. She will recognise approaches for facilitating pitch internalisation through online learning platforms, acknowledging the potential benefits and challenges associated with digital pedagogies in this domain.
